IndiGo Airlines has introduced a direct flight service between Mumbai and Tirupati, beginning operations on Sunday. Manne Srinivasa Rao, the director of Tirupati Airport, shared the news with reporters, stating that this new route marks a significant milestone in connecting two major cities.
According to Rao, flight number 6E532 will depart from Mumbai at 5:30 AM and arrive at Tirupati Airport by 7:15 AM. In return, flight number 6E533 will take off from Tirupati at 7:45 AM, reaching Mumbai by 9:25 AM. The service is set to operate daily, providing convenience for travelers commuting between these destinations.

Srikalahasti TDP MLA, Bojjala Sudheer Reddy, expressed gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu for facilitating the launch of this direct route. He acknowledged the importance of this service in bridging Mumbai, the financial capital of India, with Tirupati, the nation's spiritual hub.
The MLA highlighted that this direct flight will not only benefit the multitude of devotees visiting Tirupati but will also play a crucial role in enhancing the city's business prospects. He emphasized that improved connectivity could attract investments and spur economic growth in the region.
This new service is expected to make Tirupati more accessible, encouraging tourism and aiding the development of industries in and around the temple town.
